On July 28, 2008, The Jay Sigel Invitational will mark a milestone as Jay will host his 16th annual event to raise money for cancer research at the prestigious Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, PA. The current beneficiary to receive net proceeds that will fund prostate cancer research programs is the Leonard and Madlyn Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute of the University of Pennsylvania. To date, the event has raised over $1,500,000 for this very worthy cause. Past Special Guests of The Sigel Invitational include Jim Colbert, Bob Murphy, Ed Dougherty, Hubert Green, Chuck "The Hit Man" Hiter, Dennis Walters, and such media personalities as, Jim "Sports" Kelly, Peter Kessler and Gary Papa. These "very special guests" have now become Honorary Chairmen of The Jay Sigel Invitational, thus joining Jay to support his efforts to fight cancer. Click on the Sigel Cup for more details.
